According to the twitterati - Slot has to get 6 points from the next 2 games (West Ham and Sunderland) to save his job.
Also rumours that the dressing room is divided over backing him or not.
I don't know what the answer is - regarding Slot.
We built a style of play and identity that worked for a very long time.
Now we are almost playing the opposite way to that and it isn't working.
Every game it's the same slow play, no intensity (apart from some of the Real Madrid game), lack of defensive effort, basic mistakes and then when things haven't worked after about 65 minutes it is Ibou off and Grav to CB, followd by Dom to RB, striker swap and then maybe Chiese or Rio for 5 minutes.
every single game on repeat.
It's no wonder a lot of people have or are losing confidence that Slot is the man to get us out of it.
Some might argue that we are in transition, but usually you can see a style of play emerging or get a sense that things are really about to click. I have not felt that at all.

Rewind to the beginning of last season and we seemed to have an identity under Slot very quickly. That was in stark contrast to Ten Hagrid at United.
This season it's beyond baffling how we have gone a full about turn and have lost the identity that we seemed to step into so quickly following Klopp's departure. He needs another full about turn but I fear any upturn in fortunes will see Slot reverting back to type eventually as he did following the wins over AV and RM.

Teams go through tough patches and that is ok. If the tough patch has lasted 12 games and the trajectory is still downward then it is too late. By now problems should be identified and things should be being implemented to address them and make the team better. As is stands nothing is changing and the performances and results are getting worse.

The players do not seem motivated to save him - they are all at sea because that is the vibe Slot is setting - Lost.
He will die by his own sword.

Didn’t they say that 4 or 5 matches ago?

So 2 games to save his job which could well be another 2 losses resulting in us being 17 points off top spot or 11 points off second or even 2 points off the drop zone!
Or he wins the next 2 and then everything seems a bit better until he loses the next 5 after that on the bounce!
Madness - make a change now, even an interim and get some fresh ideas and impetus going through the team.

Good post mate, we're so predictable and easy to beat.
Transition is a crap excuse and anyone using it is just in denial. Bournemouth just changed 3 of their back 4 and their keeper. Palace have lost their star player in Eze and year after losing Olise. City lost De Bruyne, Walker, Ederson etc. None of them are serving up the tripe we're having to watch.
Transition is part of football. Part of being a good manager/ coach is being able to navigate that transition smoothy. How many times did Ferguson have to rebuild the team at Man Utd? how many times did he lose 9 games in 12?
No, this isn't about bedding in new players. Nor is it about adapting to tactics. This is plain and simple. Our players are a yard off the required pace, our tactics are lacking aggression and we're emptying our midfield making us easily beatable.
Their 2nd goal our defence just panicked because the midfield was not there after Salah bottled a tackle on the half way line. Jones followed their LW to be fair to him, but as Konate was engaging their LB in midfield, Virgil was left tracking the run of their AM and that left Kerkez trying to get across to make a recovery challenge on the CF. This wasn't a counter attack. They had controlled possession. We were just not in any semblance of a solid structure as a team. So much so that one basic overload down the inside left caused our whole defence to part like the red sea.

He's talking some dribble in his latest interview.

MK even tried and tested has also not worked. Doc I agree Slot is the master of his own destiny here and he doesn't seem to grasp that. If he'd gone defensive and said let's get a couple of nil nils and go from there. Nope. Even the definition of insanity is getting tired of his interviews and team performances.

People say we're having a tough patch . to me a tough patch for Liverpool FC is over 12 games winning 6, drawing 3 n losing 3 while playing half decent football . think we've lost 9, played terrible, players looking at each other like they've never met bfr, manager looking clueless etc etc etc.

I'm firmly in the Carra camp. I'd ignore virtually all of the other suppositions. He's out. Klopp for 6 and Iraola to follow or Iraola now and pay the inflated ransom to Bournemouth for him.
