I like Semenyo a lot and think he could be a great addition but ultimately if the club have opted against signing him then so be it. In reality we have more pressing matters that need attention such as CB and DM and would be far more in favour of spending what we have in these areas. Many have suggested that Isaks injury would increase our need for Semenyo but that would be like replacing a LB with a RB as Semenyo rarely plays through the middle, far more likely we go for a player who plays predominantly through the middle but can do bits on the wings, perhaps a more short term plan.
Still feel the club aren’t pulling the trigger here because they don’t think Semenyo is a long term Salah replacement like Olise.

Rojack - how can you say he’s chosen a superior sporting project?
We’re not quite halfway through the season and only 8 points behind the club you think he’s chosen to go to while we’re still in the champions league!
By what I’m hearing he wanted us but the club cooled on him a little while ago-.
