Frode, not sure what your beef with the club is? If this player has chosen to sign for a club where he’s not embroiled in a court case with a fan of that club, who is pleading not guilty to racist abuse - then he is a smart guy.
Just no way he could come to us while that court case runs. The fact that the guy pleaded not guilty today made me think this transfer could no longer happen - that’s not the club’s fault, it’s down to one “fan”, and his/ her right to a fair trial.
In this case, the failure to sign him is down to our fanbase, not the club. Sounds harsh to blame the fans for one fan’s alleged bad behaviour? Well, one fan’s appalling behaviour does stain us all, and you can’t blame the suits for that.

Rojack Slot doesn't have final say on transfers, he already hinted at that in an interview, and when Edwards came back on board rumour had it that he did so under the premise that he had final say on transfers over the manager. I also doubt very much Slot is going anywhere, we're sitting in 5th, if we finish in or around that, all things considered, it won't be deemed a bad season, not bad enough to warrant a p45 anyway.
Monstersouness 1 racist moron is beyond the last thing that any player is going to consider when making a transfer. These guys get to play the greatest sport on earth and earn hundreds of thousands whilst doing it, they're living the dream, they're really not bothered by what some random pleb in the stands think when it comes to career decisions. Sure, they won't want anyone getting away with it but to suggest that an elite footballer is going to make career choices based on the moronic rants of 1 single imbecile is a bit of a reach.
In the last 10 years City is the most successful club in the Prem by a country mile, they've got the most money and the best manager, it's an extremely attractive opportunity. Especially when taking our recent issues into consideration.
I'll be keeping my fingers crossed until the Jan 10 but as soon as I heard city might be in for him I lost a lot of confidence in the possibility of a deal. If we were having a great season I think things might be different.

Thanks for the biggest speculative load of nonsense. My beef with the club is that we have a title winning side that is being destroyed by a stubborn manager whose brand of football is scraping results for now and two bum chums behind the scenes trying to push class out like Salah who is being made a scapegoat for Slot’s tactics.
Also supposed fans like you who claim to have some form of superiority because they feel every action the club makes is righteous and virtuous. You’re a patsy.

Stirring stuff Frode, I take it you’re not a fan of our leadership!
It’s disappointing how things have gone this season, and if January fizzles out without a minimum of one centre back signing there’ll be real rumblings of discontent for sure.
I still think though that we should finish top four, but it will be tight if others strengthen but we don’t. Chelsea particularly are the main competition together with Villa. I wouldn’t worry about City buying as we won’t be competing for top 2, and at least they’ll take more points off others.

Frode, name calling supporters who recognise the brilliant job that the back room staff have done in the last decade or so is a bit immature mate. I will go on record saying that I have doubts about how Slot reacted / didn’t react to the slump since the spring but I was also one of the many that thought we “won the transdermal window”
Revisionism is a thing and those at the club def know A LOT more than you or I and, for me, deserve a bit more trust. There’s always al lot more going on in the background than we are aware of and Slot may well go but until then they’ll have my support and I’m def not a patsy.
