Salah wanted and probably still does want to stay.
This is his frustration coming out.
If you boss tells you your no longer required would you not be pissed off and tell people in the pub and colleagues the Bull rubbish it is to be told your no longer wanted
Surely we can understand his life is Liveroool FC and he feels aggrieved that the club is turning his back on him.
So he’s done 4 interviews in 8 years in and around match days. Wonder why if everytime he does he’s called out for it
The spitting disgrace of Jamie Carragher (how he has a job I do not know) says Salah is a disgrace.
A disgrace for letting us know the truth.
It’s why we all come on here. Waiting patiently for The Fields, RobboLFC, Carra, Ned Flanders and VictorGoddam to post. They give us what they know. We don’t ridicule them if it’s not what we want.
Yet Salah, our greatest servant since he’s been here says his truth and he’s hated for it?

To be honest, i can understand why he's kicking off, but i can also see why Slot has benched him. On the one hand, his form has been poor which would warrant time on the side-lines, on the other, you can't play someone that has done what they have as that would set a dangerous precedent for other players to do the same.
It's been mentioned on here many times why Gakpo or Konate haven't been dropped for poor form, and they have a point, but to be honest, i feel that benching salah is cutting our nose off to spite our face. If we're getting pumped tonight at Inter, we need players with Salah's capability to be able to come off the bench when required in order to make (hopefully) a difference.
If we get spanked tonight, the heat will be back on him for keeping a potential game changer out the team.
{Ed001's Note - I don't understand why Gakpo couldn't be benched? We have an Italian international left winger, a French international forward who plays that role and Hungary's captain can also play there. All this bollox about him only having a 17 year old to bring in is a flat out lie.}

As to your reply ed01, i would have to agree with you. The likes of Chiesa could sell his soul and it still wouldn't be enough to get more than a cameo in the last 5 minutes of a match. It's crazy, and it's things like that that will be Slots downfall imo.

As if managers don't have agendas against certain players due to a variety of reasons that have NOTHING to do with their actual footballing ability.
{Ed001's Note - even so, there are so many players that are terrible in training but turn it on when out on the pitch, that is not a reason not to pick someone. You pick them based on what they produce for the team, and so far he has produced as much as anyone, in fact far more than anyone else this season other than Dom.}

I really don’t think that the fact anyone else could’ve been benched is the point here. We all know there’s a number of players who have been awful this season and that Salah isn’t the only one.
Salah has every right to be upset and I’d be amazed if he wasn’t. However that’s no excuse for seeking out the press and dropping a huge grenade in the middle of the club. There’s a right way and a wrong way to air your grievances and he’s chosen the wrong way.
If he really does want to stay as people seem to think he does then he’s just done a fine job of pushing himself out the door.
He’s a legend and we love him but he was out of order and has left the club with little alternative but to sell him. If that’s what he was trying to avoid then he’s just not very bright.

Ed, when you mentioned Slot’s preference toward Dutch players, do you mean he wants more Dutch players at the club? Or do you mean he won’t take action with our current Dutch players, for example, Gakpo and Van Dijk playing badly but Slot not dropping them?
{Ed001's Note - well he has shown a preference for working with Dutch players, and favouring them. At least that is the feeling at the club. He does seem to want to sign them and he does play the likes of Gravy, no matter how obvious it was that he was knackered. I can see why they think it and there is usually a natural preference to look towards people like yourself in any situation anyway.}

Doesnt every manager we've had do that? Would Houllier not have preferred French or Rafa Spanish? Klopp in fairness was probably the exeption but then most of the decent ones were at Bayern and going nowhere and Gundogan chose City.

{Ed001's Note - that's nonsense, he posts up pictures everyday on IG of himself training. I see them in my feed all the time. Maybe they are in that reels thing usually and vanish? I don't know, but I do know that he does it pretty much every day.}
