So, few posters are unhappy that we didn’t win, ohhhh sorry we did, it ain’t pretty but it’s 3 points and we have moved into top 4, got to say after being at game today wirtz’s 1st half performance was quality, the 2nd half was sh**e like!

27 Dec 2025 21:19:53
3 points masks how poor we are. Agree that 3 points is all you can win but drill down into the performance or the team we are and we were out run, out battled and our attacking game plan looks like walking football.

Watch the game back and we look like a team full of good players that are absolutely throttled. These performances and tactics will be lucky to make top 4.

That's a valid argument if we were playing fairly well generally and just had a sluggish day around Christmas but still got through.

But we're repeatedly making hard work of situations that should be easy enough for us to close out. Wolves are abject and there was no need whatsoever to let them back into the game, but we did.

There are positives. Kerkez, Frimpong and Wirtz being the main ones, but we can't keep doing this and expect to get away with it.

First half was a Sh*te watch also. Football is absolutely shocking from an entertainment value. We are one hell of a boring team at the moment.

We need many titles to make this football worth it.

27 Dec 2025 23:05:00
When you watch other teams play it’s so obvious that we are really poor, unbelievably slow to the point where it’s almost taking the pi**. This is not what Liverpool is about, we are supposed to be the champions but we look like relegation team hanging on to the death.

28 Dec 2025 01:18:40
So long as its 3 points that's okay?

We are so close to getting 0 points on many more occasions, so no im not happy when we scrape 3 points against a team with 2 points in 18 games and were playing at home!

28 Dec 2025 01:27:08
Careful lads, WDW will have u for such negativity.

28 Dec 2025 06:22:43
Intel design - the people who aren't happy with just 3 points are concerned that the manner in which we are beating some of the worst teams in the league will not hold up when we have to challenge the top contenders and could easily lead to another string of losses.

Remember when we scraped 6 or wins at the start of the season? We went on the worst run of form in over 70 years. Now we're drawing and barely scraping victories over relegation team's and you think we should just be happy to get the win?! Have a little foresight mate.

It blows my mind how far some of the fans have fallen as to them accepting such dross. Scraping a win against a team setting record for being the worst in premier league is pathetic.

We look like we’re clinging on, not improving.

The lads look jaded, Christ knows how with slots tactics, perhaps he’s bored them to sleep?

Honestly questions should be asked of why we thought such a drastic change in style from one manager to another was a wise decision.

Slots doing more damage by the day it seems and honestly cannot fathom as to why we’re not cutting losses now. I’m not even enjoying wins it’s more being grateful for them we look that dire. A wealth of talent at out disposal and this is how we use it?

@Red_Flyer, ??? Are you often worried by other people’s opinion?

28 Dec 2025 07:13:44
Really looking forward to the last couple of games of the season where are finally fit team, dominate some lower placed sides who don’t care anymore and we end up claiming the UEFA cup slot. Whoop, whoop

If we get a champions league spot I’ll be thrilled. If slot continues to play this laborious style of passing back football he has to go in the summer. Football at an elite club has to be entertaining and fun for both the fans and the players. Which top creative players in the summer are going to want to join us with Slot’s turgid tactics still in place?

Listen all - didn't Arsenal just scrape past Wolves without scoring a goal themselves. Just imagine what it would be like on here if that's what we did.

We scored 2 very good goals, Ekitike almost scored a very good goal when put through by a brilliant pass by Wirtz, their keeper made a couple of really good saves, and we are currently 4th in the PL.

All that with our best midfielder banned.

We may not be flying like we have done in the past, but I don't think any team is including City.

From being in the bottom half of the table last month to where we are now deserves a wee bit of credit in my book.

Just my opinion of course.

Season's Greetings to you all.

Sorry after years of Klopp ball, I ain't accepting dross footie from anyone or any manager, him winning the title be damned. That was an absolute poop show of a perf. that got worse as the game went.

Oh and to the "We got the 3 points" brigade, you have Bradley to thank for that cos if he gets that tackle wrong, it is either a goal or a pen and your narrative goes up in smoke. Be sure to remember that before you ask the rest of us to ignore the absolute crap we are being served up and you know, "Just focus on the 3 points".

There are a lot of posters on here who are as inflexible as Arne. A number who won’t admit how poor and pedestrian our football is, and a number who can’t ever see any positives or improvements no matter how big or small. As with many things in life it’s not all clear yet.

I remember watching us play in the 90’s and 00’s and having the same feelings as watching this team. I thought we were slow, unfit, etc etc. Truth be told looking back some of our coaching, players and teams just weren’t very good. We were a cup team who were living on previous glories.

I’m not saying we’re that, not yet anyway. This club has been transformed and rebuilt on and off the pitch in the last decade. Hopefully Richard and Arne are the men to take it on, but if not we need to be decisive in the close season and find the best to take us forward.

At the moment the best way to describe us is fragile, with a weak and tentative mentality. We’ve got skill and promise but that’s a big step back from where we’ve been recently. The second half of the season needs to be much better than the first.

What I will add to your post, Hugo, which I largely agree with, is that we can be optimistic about the fact that some players are really beginning to pick up form and looking at home in the team now, Wirtz being the most notable of these.

Given he is the future of our club, the fact that he is looking confident and lively is reason to think that we have some reason to be excited. Curtis staying fit and showing he is capable of playing alongside Grav is also positive.

28 Dec 2025 11:40:39
Agreed Patrik. Wirtz has been the bright light in the last month or so, and more tentatively Kirkez. I’d love Curtis to show the Inter Milan form every week or so, he’s shown he’s capable of it from time to time so fingers crossed.
